FAQ

Learning questions answered

Everything you need to know about learning to trade with Nov Fund Academy.

Getting started

Is Nov Fund Academy really free?

Yes. All lessons, tools, the glossary and the quiz are free to use. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

Do I need any experience before starting?

No. The Academy starts from zero. Module 1 explains what forex is, how pairs work and the basic vocabulary you will see everywhere.

In what order should I study?

Follow the modules in order: Foundations → Reading Charts → Technical Analysis → Fundamentals → Risk Management → Psychology. Each one builds on the last.

How much time should I spend learning each day?

30–60 minutes of focused study is plenty. Read one or two lessons, then open a chart and look for the concepts you just learned.

Can I learn on my phone?

Yes. The whole website works on mobile, tablet and desktop.

Learning to trade

How long does it take to become a consistent trader?

Most people need many months of study, practice and review. The basics can be learned quickly, but consistency comes from repetition, journaling and discipline.

Should I practise on a demo account first?

Yes. A demo account lets you test your understanding and strategy without risking money. Practise until you can follow your rules consistently.

Which currency pairs are best for beginners?

Major pairs such as EUR/USD, GBP/USD and USD/JPY. They are the most liquid, have the lowest spreads and plenty of free educational material.

What timeframe should a beginner use?

Higher timeframes like 1H, 4H and Daily are easier to learn on. They move more slowly, give you time to think, and contain less noise than 1-minute charts.

Do I need indicators to trade?

No. Many traders use only price action. Indicators can help, but start with support, resistance and trend before adding tools — and keep it to one or two.

What is the most important skill to learn?

Risk management. You can have an average strategy and still survive with good risk control, but even a great strategy fails without it.

How do I know if a strategy works?

Backtest it on past charts, then forward test it on demo. Track at least 50 trades and calculate win rate, average R and expectancy.

Using the website

How do the calculators work?

Enter your numbers and the result updates instantly. They help you practise pip value, position sizing and risk-to-reward math. They are learning aids, not trading advice.

Are my quiz answers saved?

No. The quiz runs only in your browser and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

Are the market session times exact?

They are approximate and can shift by an hour when countries change to or from daylight saving time.

Will new lessons be added?

Yes, we plan to keep expanding the Academy with new lessons, examples and guides.

Can I share the lessons?

Absolutely — feel free to share links to any page with friends who want to learn.
